Volunteering

Do you enjoy being outdoors and engaged with nature? Can you spare a few hours each week to help keep your local park a pleasant green space for people and wildlife?

We are recruiting Conservation Volunteers to work with the Ranger Service in Eastbrookend Country Park and the Chase Nature Reserve on a regular basis.

Tasks often include litter-picking across the parks, managing habitats for wildlife, keeping pathways clear of vegetation, caring for the fruit trees in the community orchard and repair/maintenance of steps, fences and footpaths etc.

We meet at 10am every Monday (weather permitting) at the Discovery Centre, before heading out into the park. All equipment and refreshments are provided.

Please wear sturdy footwear and outdoor clothing, suitable for the weather, that you don’t mind getting dirty.
